A
very warm welcome to Newton Village, we hope
you will find this site interesting, informative, useful and
a true reflection of small unique village. Newton
is one of the most southern villages in Cambridgeshire.
It is very
close to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and only six miles from
the centre of Cambridge. The
area is steeped in history and dates back to 975, it has many ancient
landmarks close by and it can also trace it's roots back to the Bronze
Age.
Today Newton boasts as being one of the most active villages
in south Cambridgeshire with its own Sports and Social Club, Amateur
Dramatics and it's own Women's Institute. It is also home to 'The
Queens Head', whilst always attracting an enormous amount of visitors
with it's full range of 'real beers' and quite unique food.
